November 2017 - The Department of Communications, Climate Action and Energy, together with the Waste Industry has drawn up a definitive list of materials which can be put into household recycling bins in Ireland.
The list includes paper and cardboard, rigid plastics, steel and aluminium cans.
If it's not on the list, it doesn’t go in the recycling bin.
Collectors across the country will leave a ‘bin tag’ on every bin with this information in the coming weeks.
To see what goes into the bin, what does not go in and why, visit recyclinglistireland.ie
When you are putting materials into the recycling bins – Dry, Clean and Loose is the best way to present the items.
