In general, Longford County Council wishes to facilitate its customers in making payments as conveniently as possible. To this end, a variety of payment methods operate e.g.: · payment directly at the Housing Department. · Standing Order with financial institution · direct debit from salary · deduction from Social Welfare payments under The Household Budget Scheme operated by An Post.
Full information on payment methods may be obtained from the staff of the Housing Department. In the case of non-payment of any amount due and where no other option is available Longford County Council will seek to recover secure payment through legal action . Any customer who has a difficulty in meeting payments should contact the Housing Department at an early stage to discuss the situation.
