WELCOME TO LONGFORD COUNTY COUNCIL WEBSITE

 Longford County Council wishes to inform the public of the closure of the R194 from Kiernans’s Forge to Doherty’s Cross in Killoe.  This is due to Bridge and Culvert Damage at Esker.

The Road will be completely closed until further notice

The diversion for traffic going into Longford from Ballinalee is at Doherty’s cross, turn right and continue to Drumlish village and then turn left into Longford. Traffic going from Longford to Ballinalee , at Kiernan’s cross go straight and continue to Esker Cross, turn right to Doherty’s cross and then left for Ballinalee. Signage will be erected on all roads affected by this road closure to assist road users. Local Access will be maintained.
