The N63 Lanesborough Road at the junction of the N63 Lanesborough Road and R397 Athlone Road at Ballymacormick, Longford and the N63 at the junction of the N63 (Longford Road) and the R392 (Ballymahon Road) in Lanesborough Town shall be closed from Monday February 6th 2012 to Friday 30th March 2012.

Longford County Council is pleased to advise that work on the Longford Water Conservation Project is progressing very well. The works are now passing half way and are well ahead of schedule. This Contract comprises of the Rehabilitation Replacement of existing water mains and installation of new water mains.

The Local Government (Charges) Act 2009 introduces a €200 annual charge on non principal private residences, payable by the owner(s) of the NPPR to the Local Authority in whose area the property concerned is located. The charge applies mainly to owners of private rental property and holiday homes. It also applies to vacant residential property unless newly built but unsold.
