Notice from Irish Water

Hand washing to prevent the spread of #CoronaVirus is extremely important, but it puts extra demand on water supplies.

Irish Water has asked the public to be mindful of ways to conserve water. Check out water.ie/conservation for helpful tips.

Along with increased hand washing, there is currently an increase in the use of wet wipes. Wipes should never be flushed down the toilet as they block sewers and cause damage to the environment.

Irish Water has also asked businesses that have temporarily closed in response to the Covid-19 outbreak to turn off all non-essential water in buildings.

Please conserve water where possible to help to ensure a reliable supply for everyone.
