  • Minimum charge for parking in Longford Town

    Longford County Council is introducing a minimum charge of 50 cent for parking in the paid zones in Longford town. As the tariff cards have to be updated on each individual pay & display machine, it is anticipated that this process will take a number of weeks to complete. Currently 20 cent provides 12 minutes parking, 50 cent will provide 30 minutes parking and consequently there is no increase in parking charges. The proposed new charge together with the current grace period of 30 minutes means that the cost of parking in Longford Town for one hour will be 50 cent. There are no changes to the grace period of 10 minutes before purchase of Pay & Display ticket.
