Longford County Council Water Services employees under agreement with Irish Water continue to provide a full service in terms of water supply, and wastewater treatment.

Irish Water will issue updates to the public whenever there are any interruptions to this service.

As of today the service is operating normally.

Persons throughout the County are asked to conserve water where possible and to refrain from using water supply for purposes such as power washing patios, watering gardens and washing cars to ensure sufficient water available for essential health & hygiene purposes e.g. hand washing etc.

Further information on water conservation can be obtained on www.water.ie
