Waste Management Plan

Longford County Council is one of twelve local authorities who comprise the Eastern Midlands Waste Region regarding waste management planning. The Eastern and Midlands Region is made up of the following Councils – Longford, Westmeath, Laois, Offaly, Dublin City (Lead Authority), South Dublin, Fingal, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Wicklow, Louth, Kildare and Meath.

The current Eastern Midlands Region Waste Management Plan covers the period 2015-2021 and it provides a framework for the prevention and management of waste in a sustainable manner.
