Roads and Services

If you are buying or selling a property it is important to clarify if roadways (including footpaths, laneways, and public lighting and surface water drainage) are under the remit of Longford County Council (LCC), to find out this information you can apply for a “Services in Charge” (SIC) request.

Your Services in Charge (SIC) requests in respect of water/wastewater services will be forwarded to the Irish Water Office, please note that Longford County Council has no role in relation to any other services or utilities (gas, electricity, telecommunications etc)

How to make your request?

Email us on roads@longfordcoco.ie with the below details, remembering to include a map of the relevant property, with the section of road in question highlighted. You must also have made payment of €125.00 to Longford County Council and provide the reference information in your email
