N4 Newtownforbes to Clooniher Pavement Resurfacing Scheme

Advanced Notification of Works

(under Section 37 of the Road traffic Act,1994)

Roadstone Ltd have been appointed on behalf of Longford County Council as the main contractor for the N4 Newtownforbes to Clooniher Pavement Rehabilitation Scheme and wishes to provide advance notice of significant roadworks on the N4 between Newtownforbes and Rooskey. The resurfacing works shall start approximately 1kms west of Newtownforbes and continue to the Junction of L-1007-0 Drumlish Road (at Ballagh Bridge)

Start Date:          Monday 18th November 2024.

Finish Date:        Friday 06th December 2024.

Works Time:      8am to 5pm.

The works will be carried out under a stop/go traffic management system, in place for the duration of the works. A Special Roadworks Speed limit of 60km/h shall also be in place for the duration of the works.

The scheme will generally involve the following works:

1. Road reconstruction/resurfacing.
2. Road Markings and Studs installation.
3. Ancillary Accommodation Works.
