Polling Station Changes
Following a 2022 review of polling station locations, the following changes were made:
- Longford town and its environs were divided into four new Polling Districts: Longford Central North, Longford Central West, Longford Central East and Longford Central South
- The polling location for Corboy electors was changed from St Joseph’s National School to Cullyfad Community Centre
These changes were made to
- Redistribute electors among polling stations in a more equitable manner
- Alleviate access and parking issues
- Ensure electors are attending, where possible, their nearest polling station
- Provide an efficient service to electors on polling day
