Algal Bloom in Lough Gowna

Public Notice - Please exercise caution

Algal blooms or scums can be harmful to humans, dogs and other animals.

Don't allow dogs or other animals to SWIM or DRINK in waters where algal bloom is evident.

If you come into contact with algal bloom, shower as soon as possible and wash all affected clothing and equipment thoroughly.

Please report incidences of algal bloom to Longford County Council - Thank you.
