The festival kicks off tomorrow 28 September

Celebrating the wealth of artistic talent in Longford, Cruthù Arts Festival is back from tomorrow (28 September). Usually held in summer, the Festival moves to autumn due to COVID-19 delays, with plenty of theatre, music, film, art and comedy in store the wait will have been well worth it!  

Opening night sees the unveiling of local artist Pat Taaffe's work, with its pop, post-modern influences and poster based aesthetic. This event takes place in Longford Library at 7pm 28 September. Other events include:

  • Remnants from Turas Threatre Collective at Connolly Barrack
  • Royal Canal Heritage: Walk and Talk
  • Laura Jo at St. John's Church in Longford
  • Trad Ensemble from Music Generation Longford in Longford Library
  • Introduction to Play Writing in Temperance Hall
  • Night at the Pictures in Omniplex Cinema, Deanscurragh
  • Trinitones at St. Mel's Cathedral
  • and much more!

Cruthù Arts Festival is run by a voluntary committee of passionate community advocates, artists and students who have built the festival into a major fixture on the cultural events calendar.
