Draft Register of Electors available for inspection

PUBLICATION OF DRAFT REGISTER OF ELECTORS 2022/2023

The Draft Register 2022/2023 is now published and is available for inspection from 1st November 2021.

Persons are advised to check the Draft Register of Electors to ensure you are correctly registered.

If you are not Registered, you cannot vote.

Persons are encouraged to check the Draft Register of Electors, either online at www.checktheregister.ie or you may contact the Franchise Office by email franchise@longfordcoco.ie or by phone 043 3343507

The Draft Register can be inspected at the Customer Services Desk, Longford County Council and also at the Longford Branch Library, Longford Garda Station and Longford Post Office.  A Copy of the Draft Register is also available at the Office of the County Registrar, Courthouse, Longford.  Persons who wish to inspect the Register at the County Registrar’s office should contact that office to make appropriate arrangements.  Copies of the Draft Register for respective polling districts can also be inspected at local Libraries, Post Offices and Garda Stations.

Persons are advised to ensure they comply with public health guidelines while inspecting the Draft Register.

YOU CANNOT VOTE IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED

You can claim to have a correction made to the Draft Register, including a claim to have the name of a person added to or deleted from the Draft Register. 

Claim forms (RFA1) may be obtained from the Franchise Section by phoning 043 3343507 or by emailing franchise@longfordcoco.ie or can be downloaded from the Council website at www.longfordcoco.ie.  Claim forms are also available at Libraries, Post Offices and Garda Stations.

Completed Claim Forms (RFA1) should be returned to the Franchise Section at franchise@longfordcoco.ie or by post to the postal address below not later than 25th November 2021.
