Longford County Council Arts Bursary Scheme open for applications
Supporting County Longford-based artists and film-makers

Longford County Council and Longford Arts Office are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the County Longford Arts Office Bursary Scheme.

Bursaries will be awarded under three categories:

  • on-going practice development bursaries
  • film-making bursaries
  • residential bursaries for the artist retreat at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre

Bursaries will be awarded to artists in support of their continuing professional development, including through supporting the creation of new work, training, funding for materials and equipment. The artist retreat will enable Longford artists to progress their work in a suitable environment.

Artist bursaries will be in the region of €500. However, this may vary based on the number of applicants and the quality of projects, as well as other factors. Film bursaries will be in the region of €5,000. The artist retreat fees will be paid directly by the Longford County Council Arts Office.
