I encourage everyone to get involved, to make the most of the rest of the summer and to see County Longford in new ways.”

Longford County Council Chief Executive Paddy Mahon spoke on the importance of the work of the Council in helping people take part in new activities. “The Council, through the work of our Longford Sports Partnership and Longford Tourism, proudly promotes these excellent opportunities for people to prioritise their physical and mental health.”

Longford Sports Partnership Chairperson Tony Headon added, “The activities in store for August will get us all exploring the outdoors. Particularly, the new HER Outdoors Week will promote great activities for girls and women.
