Important Notice: Change to Opening Hours on Thursday 02 July 2026

Due to an internal event, there is a change to the opening times of the public counters of Longford County Council for Thursday 02 July only.  

Longford County Council public counters for Thursday 02 July 2026 will open as follows:

Áras an Chontae (Great Water Street) - open 9am to 1pm

Housing (Market Square) - open 10am to 1pm

Motor Tax and Cash Office (Camlin Court) - open 10 am to 1 pm

Environment (Church Street) - open 10am to 1pm

Tourism (Market Square) - open 10am to 1pm

The Planning Counter will close. However, should you need assistance, please contact (087) 3707248 and a staff member will come to meet you. 

Library Services will operate as normal. 

The Council's emergency number is 1800 211 525.

The Council will re-open as normal on Friday 03 July.
