Tri County Women in Business event takes place
Speakers include wellbeing expert Louise Dennison and Longford's Geraldine Stewart

A Tri County Women in Business event took place in The Landmark Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon on Monday, 20 May. Organised by the Local Enterprise Offices of Longford, Leitrim, and Westmeath,
businesswomen from all three counties were in attendance.
The event aims to support and develop relationships within the Women in Business Network. This year’s theme was ‘Women's Wellbeing in the Workplace’.
Keynote speaker at the event was Dennison Training Academy founder and chief executive, Louise Dennison. A workplace wellbeing expert, Louise shared her knowledge on topics such as productivity, work-life balance, relationships, workplace satisfaction, and the risk of anxiety and burnout.
Louise was joined by three guest speakers, including Longford businesswoman Geraldine Stewart. Geraldine is the founder and director of DGS Business Consulting. Geraldine, working alongside her husband Robert, has developed Cathedral View Apartments which offer short-term accommodation for tourists and business clients.
Leitrim was represented by Drumhierny Woodland Hideaway Marketing Manager, Alison Moffatt. Opened in 2022, Drumhierny Woodland Hideaway is an innovative hospitality business. Westmeath was represented by An Olivia Chocolate founder and 18-time award-winning chocolatier, Olivia Curran.
Tri County Women in Business Network Chairperson Pat Murphy was MC for the event. Pat also facilitated a lively networking session, giving those present an opportunity to socialise and showcase their own businesses.
