Cruinniú na nÓg Lates in Longford
Young people in Longford enjoying arts and creativity

Longford County Council’s Night-Time Economy initiative was pleased to support Cruinniú na nÓg Lates, which took place in Longford on Saturday, 6 June.
The programme created opportunities for young people to take part in creative and cultural activities later in the day, as part of the wider Cruinniú na nÓg celebrations.
Events included a DJ workshop in Eden Nightclub, an Irish music session in Torc Café, and a visual art workshop in Athena Gallery Café. Each event gave young people the chance to explore creativity in a fun, welcoming and age-appropriate setting.
Cruinniú na nÓg Lates is an important example of how the night-time economy can support inclusive cultural activity for all ages. It also highlights the value of using local venues in new ways, creating positive experiences for young people while supporting the wider cultural life of Longford Town.
Cruinniú na nÓg Lates was supported by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, and was organised by Longford County Council’s Night-Time Economy initiative and Creative Ireland Longford.
