The Community Grant Support Scheme (CGSS) 2023 - This Scheme is now closed

This Scheme supports activities or projects focused on any of the following areas:

• active elderly• the arts• community development• environment
• events• heritage• inter-cultural• sports and recreation

Online applications must be completed by the chairperson, secretary or treasurer of the community group. You are advised to start your online application as soon as possible. You do not have to complete it all in the one go, you can pause and save it in draft format at any time. When you have completed your application form you can then submit it. Before starting your application you should: 

  • Familarise yourself with the terms and conditions
  • Have your Tax Reference Number. Please see link to Tax Reference Form here. This is required by Longford County Council to verify tax clearance status if applicable and will also be used when submitting returns to Revenue as required
  • Register with Longford Public Participation Network
  • Review the values and objectives in Longford Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) here Equality Human Rights Statement.  You should show how your project would make a contribution to achieving these values and objectives

When does the Scheme close for applications? 

  • Applications must be submitted by 4pm on Thursday, 27 April 2023
  • Late applications will not be accepted
