Subsidised Domestic Waste Collection Service

Longford County Council is pleased to offer McEoin Park residents the opportunity to take part in a subsidised 3-bin domestic waste collection service at a significantly reduced cost.

The Environment Section has received funding to provide this service to 50 Local Authority households, with McEoin Park residents being given first opportunity to participate.

What’s Included?

Participants will receive a 3-bin waste collection service (general waste, recycling, and organic waste) along with practical guidance on responsible waste disposal.

Participant Requirements

To take part in the programme, residents will be required to:

1. Attend Waste Training

· Informal waste segregation and responsible waste disposal training session

· Held in the McEoin Park Community House

· A choice of dates and times will be provided

· One-to-one support and additional training will be available if needed

2. Agree to Subsidised Collection Charges
The weekly waste collection costs will be applied directly to your Longford County Council housing rent account:

· Months 1–6: €2.50 per week (64% saving)

· Months 7–12: €5.00 per week (27% saving)
