Temporary Signage

Erection of Advertising and Signage Policy

Longford County Council's Erection of Advertising and Signage Policy outlines what must be done before erecting any sign and what sanctions may be imposed by the Council in respect of the unauthorised erection of signs.

Apply for a Temporary Signage Permit

To erect temporary signage, you must send us a completed and signed Temporary Sign Permit application form at least 4 weeks before the date of an event to which the signage relates.

Send your complete and signed application form to the Environment Section, Longford County Council, 2 Church Street, Abbeycartron, Longford, or by email to environment@longfordcoco.ie.

Alternatively, you can fill out the Temporary Sign Permit online application form.

No signs can be erected more than seven days before an event. Further terms and conditions apply, find these on the application form.
