Water Quality for Businesses

If you have received correspondence from Longford County Council requesting that you complete the Businesses on Small Private Supplies and Group Water Schemes Questionnaire, you can do so here. 

Businesses in Longford that receive their water from small private supplies or group water schemes must ensure their supply meets the required regulatory standards. Longford County Council is responsible for monitoring these supplies and supporting their compliance with relevant regulations. 

If your business is connected to a private group water scheme, you are encouraged to contact the Environment Section at Longford County Council for guidance on water quality, potential scheme upgrades, and information on available grants under the Rural Water Programme.
Please note that these grants are primarily intended for domestic use, but advice can be provided to help businesses work toward meeting the necessary standards.
