Public Consultation
Longford County Council is seeking feedback from the public on the Draft Litter Management Plan 2025-2027. This consultation marks an important step in shaping the Council's approach to litter prevention, public awareness, enforcement, and environmental enhancement across County Longford for the coming years. The draft plan outlines strategic actions to address litter-related issues and promote a cleaner, greener environment for all residents and visitors.

Making a submission
You can make a submission via a number of different methods, including online, by post and in person at one of our drop-in sessions:

Attend any of our in-person drop-in sessions with a Council representative from the Environment Section:
- Edgeworthstown Library on Monday, 16 June, from 2pm to 4pm
- Ballymahon Library on Wednesday, 18 June, from 10am to 12pm
- Longford Library on Friday, 20 June, from 10am to 12pm
- Granard Library on Friday, 20 June, from 2pm to 4pm
The final date for submissions is 3pm on Friday, 4 July 2025.
