How to report a lost or stray dog
Missing dogs should be reported to Longford County Council Dog Warden so that we can help to reunite you with your pet. Report your missing dog by phone to to 043 334 34 62 or by email to dogcontrol@longfordcoco.ie. Please give details of:
- Breed, gender, size, colour, age, any distinguishing marks
- Details of tag and collar and microchip number
- Date and location of where dog was last seen and your contact details
- Recent photograph (not greater than 2 MB in file size, if possible)
Stray dogs not accompanied by their owner or a responsible person may be taken under the care of Longford County Council Dog Pound where we will try to help reunite the dog with its owners. Stray dogs should also be reported to the Council Dog Warden by phone to 043 334 34 62 or by email to dogcontrol@longfordcoco.ie. Please give details of:
- Date and location where the dog was seen
- Breed (if known), size, colour and any distinguishing marks
