Lost and Found Dogs

How to report a lost or stray dog

Missing dogs should be reported to Longford County Council Dog Warden so that we can help to reunite you with your pet. Report your missing dog by phone to to 043 334 34 62 or by email to dogcontrol@longfordcoco.ie. Please give details of:

Breed, gender, size, colour, age, any distinguishing marks
Details of tag and collar and microchip number
Date and location of where dog was last seen and your contact details
Recent photograph (not greater than 2 MB in file size, if possible)

Stray dogs not accompanied by their owner or a responsible person may be taken under the care of Longford County Council Dog Pound where we will try to help reunite the dog with its owners. Stray dogs should also be reported to the Council Dog Warden by phone to 043 334 34 62 or by email to dogcontrol@longfordcoco.ie. Please give details of:

Date and location where the dog was seen
Breed (if known), size, colour and any distinguishing marks

	Name: Luna and Lara Breed: Sprocker Spaniel Sex: Female Age: 3 years old Missing from Sli Moinsear in Moydow. Missing since Sunday, 4 January. Both dogs are microchipped but have no collar or name tag. Contact: 087 226 95 96 (Sandra)
	Name: Milo Breed: Miniature Dachshund Sex: male Black-and-tan dog named Milo, wearing a black harness with white fleece trim. Missing from Bog Road, Derryounce Lakes & Trails, Portarlington, since Sunday 12 December. Contact Craig on 085 223 0537 Contact Ruanne on 087 965 7049
	Name: Podge Age: approx. 9 years Very friendly Missing from the McKeon park area of Longford Contact dog control section LCC with any sightings
	Breed: Flat coated retriever Sex: Female Age: 3 years old Very friendly, attention-loving dog, microchipped. Missing since 6/11/25 in the Lanesborough / Rathcline / Tullyvrane / Ballymahon Road area.
