N55 Main St. Ballymahon Improvement Works

Project Description

The proposed development will consist of the following:

1. The upgrade and realignment of the existing T-junction of Main Street (R392) and the Edgeworthstown Road (N55) at Nally's corner to provide for a traffic signal junction.
2. The upgrade and realignment of the existing T-junction of the Mullingar Road (R392) and the Athlone Road (N55) on the eastern side of the River Innyy to provide for a roundabout junction.
3. Street and public realm improvement works along the section of main Street between the two subject junctions proposed for upgrade works consisting of the provision of upgraded footpaths, cycle paths, carriageway, car parking, street furniture, road signage and markings, landscaping and planting and all ancillary site works.
