*please note that the Cert of Exemption applies to applications for four houses or less only.  Any application for five or more houses must submit a proposal detailing how the applicant intends to comply with Part V of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended).

DATA PROTECTION

It is the responsibility of persons or entities wishing to use any personal data on a planning application form for direct marketing purposes to be satisfied that they may do so legitimately under the requirements of the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003. The Office of the Data Protection Commissioner state that the sending of marketing material to individuals without consent may result in action by the Data Protection Commissioner against the sender including prosecution.

In accordance with section 38  of the Planning and Development Regulations and the Statutory Instruments S.I. No.180 of 2020, Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), Longford County Council is legally obligated to make available all planning application documents, documents accompanying planning applications and related documents received after an application is lodged. All documents which may include your personal data shall be made available for public inspection at our offices and published on Longford County Council’s website.
