Conservation Grant Scheme for Protected Structures

The Planning Authority operates the Conservation Grant Scheme for Protected Structures, on behalf of the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. The objective of this scheme is to assist the owner or occupier of a structure, which is protected because of its architectural, historical, archaeological, artistic, cultural, scientific, social or technical interest to undertake conservation works on such structure. There is no automatic right to a grant under the scheme. Each local authority is allocated a fixed amount of money for a calendar year to meet grant payments.
