Pre-Planning

Pre-Planning Consultations

The Council encourages developers to seek pre-planning advice and consultation.  All subsequent applications are processed on their merits having regard to the statutory provisions. The service is provided on a without prejudice basis. 

To request a pre-planning meeting, send the following documentation to us:

• Pre-planning application form (provided below)
• Site Location Map - outlining the proposed site in red
• Total Land holding Map
• Architectural Drawing, Sketch or Photo of the proposal to be included

All documentation to be emailed to planning@longfordcoco.ie or submitted to the Planning Department, Longford County Council, Áras an Chontae, Great Water Street, Longford.

Legal Interest

Pre-planning consultations are available only to parties who have a legal interest in the site of the proposed development. If you do not have a legal interest in the proposed site, you must obtain letter of consent from the owner of the lands.
