Roadworks - Ballymahon MD

Longford County Council wishes to advise roadworks are to be carried out as follows:

Dates:      Monday 23rd February – Tuesday 24th February 2026

Hours:     8am-5pm

Road:

• N-55-244 – Aughafin Roundabout to Cemetery
• L-1172-0 –  Goldsmith Roundabout, Ballymahon Road, Pound Street, & Main Street 
• L-1173-0 – Tinnynarr to Shannon Park Estate entrance
•  L-11731-0 – Shannon Park Estate

Reason: To Facilitate jetting of gullies by Glancy Enviro.

Stop/Go or Temporary Traffic Lights may be used during the works.

The road will remain open but traffic delays should be expected.

Pedestrian Management will also be in operation.

"This notification is sent in accordance with Section 37, of the Road Traffic Act, 1994"

In the interest of public safety, all road users are requested to heed signage and follow instructions from traffic management personnel.
