Roadworks Special Speed Limit

Notice is hereby given that Longford County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act 2004, and in the interest of Public Road Safety has made an Order to implement the following Roadwork’s Special Speed Limit detailed as follows:

Roadworks Special Speed Limit,  N4 Newtownforbes to Clooniher

Description of Change: ChangeSpeed Limit from 100km/h to 60 Km/hon the National Primary Road N4 Newtownforbes to Clooniher from Easting 610924, Northing 780025 to Easting 608533, Northing 782879.

The Special Speed Limit shall commence from 1st March 2025 for the duration of the works subject to a maximum period of 12 months in accordance with the provisions of Section 10(2) of the Act.

The Special Speed Limit is required to facilitate the N4 Newtownforbes to Clooniher Pavement Rehabilitation Scheme.
