Temporary Closing of Roads – Roads Act 1993 (Section 75)

To facilitate Road Reconstruction and Junction Sightline Improvement Works.  Longford County Council hereby gives notice that it has made an order to close the road described hereunder,

Date:                           Monday 3rd November 2025 to Friday 28th November 2025

Hours of Closure        24 hours

Road to be Closed:  L -1037-0 Smear to Arvagh Road (at Rosduff)

Alternative Routes:   Northbound Traffic (from Aughnacliffe) - Divert at Smear Stores along the L-1028 to Moyne Cross and via R198 to Arvagh

                                      Southbound traffic (from Arvagh) – Divert via R198 to Moyne Cross and via L-1028 to Smear Stores/Aughnacliffe road

This road closure is required to facilitate Road Reconstruction and Junction Sightline Improvement Works.

Traffic Management and Diversions will be in place for the duration of the works.

In the interest of road safety, you are requested to heed all signs.
