Temporary Road Closure - Longford Pride Parade 2025

Please note the following Temporary Road Closure - Roads Act 1993 (Section 75) & Roads Regulation 1994 (Article 12)

To facilitate the Longford Pride Parade 2025, Longford County Council hereby gives notice that it has made an order to close the roads in Longford town described hereunder:

Date:                                Saturday 7th June 2025

Hours of Closure           2pm – 5pm

(On completion of Parade, roads may open when safe to allow access, which could be in advance of advertised time)

Roads to be Closed: 

The Parade route is from Church Street proceeding down Main Street, Dublin Street, New Street, Ballymahon Street and concludes at the Market Square.

To include the junctions of:

  • Main Street and Little Water Street
  • Main Street and Great Water Street
  • Main Street and Richmond Street
  • Dublin Street and Centenary Square
  • Cathedral Junction
  • New Street and Convent Road
  • New Street and Earl Street
  • Ballymahon Street and Market Square

Alternative Routes:              All through traffic is requested to use the N4 & N5 Longford Town By-passes.

Traffic management/Signed diversions will be in place for local traffic.
