Temporary Road Closure National Secondary Road N55 Cavan Road

Temporary Closing of Road – Roads Act 1993 (Section 75) Road Regulations 1994 (Section 12)

Longford County Council hereby gives notice that it has made an order to close the following roads described hereunder:

Roads:   National Secondary Road N55 Cavan Road from Granard Town

Date:        N55 will be close for 6 days within the follow period. From Monday 30th March 2026 to Friday 10th April 2026

Time:         From 8am to 6pm.  Road will be open each evening at 6pm.  Road will not be closed on Saturdays or Sundays

Reason: This closure is to facilitate the Pavement Improvement Works on the N55 at Cloghchurnel Td.

There will be no through access on this road for safety reasons.  Traffic Management will be in place for the duration of the works.  In the interest of road safety, you are requested to heed all signs.
