Temporary Road Closure - Longford Family Fest 2026

Please note the following Temporary Road Closure - Roads Act 1993 (Section 75) & Roads Regulation 1994 (Article 12)

To facilitate the Longford Family Fest 2026, Longford County Council hereby gives notice that it has made an order to close the roads in Longford town described hereunder:

Date:                                Thursday 23rd July – Friday 24th July 2026

Hours of Closure           5pm – 10.30pm

On completion the roads may open when safe to allow access, which could be in advance of advertised time.

Roads to be Closed:             Market Square (N63-587) – Left hand side of the Market Square

Alternative Routes:         Diversions will be in place for local traffic.

Traffic management/Signed diversions will be in place for local traffic.  Parking maybe restricted on certain parts of Main Street and Ballymahon Street. In the interest of Road Safety please heed all signs.
