Temporary Road Closure - R399, from R393 Junction to L-1105

Temporary Closing of Roads – Roads Act 1993 (Section 75) Road Regulations 1994 (Section 12)

Longford County Council hereby gives notice that it has made an order to close the road described hereunder:

Dates:                                       Monday 24th August – Friday 25th September 2026

Hours of Closure:               24 hours (open at weekends)

Roads to be Closed:          R399, from R393 Junction to L-1105 Ratharney Junction

Diversion:                      Divert via R393 to the N55, turn left onto N55 towards Ballymahon Village and take a left onto R399 towards Tashinny National School.  Vice-versa from the opposite direction

Reason:                           To facilitate installation of a new watermain on behalf of Uisce Eireann

Traffic Management will be in place for the duration of the works.  In the interest of road safety, you are requested to heed all signs.
