Temporary Road Closure - L-1103 Ratharney

Temporary Closing of Roads – Roads Act 1993 (Section 75) Road Regulations 1994 (Section 12)

Longford County Council hereby gives notice that it has made an order to close the road described hereunder:

Dates:                                       Monday 14th September – Friday 30th October 2026

Hours of Closure:               24 hours (open at weekends)

Roads to be Closed:          L-1103 Ratharney from the bridge at the Royal Canal Way Junction to R399 Junction

Diversion:                       Divert via R399, turn on the first left onto L-1105 and turn left again at Abbeyshrule onto L-1105.  Vice-versa from opposite direction

Reason:                           To facilitate installation of a new watermain on behalf of Uisce Eireann

Traffic Management will be in place for the duration of the works.  In the interest of road safety, you are requested to heed all signs.
